Job specification (Skills Required):
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with executives across diverse groups.
- Knowledge/Experience of working in sports industry/and or ecommerce industry.
- Should be strong in written & verbal communication.
- Taking initiative.
- 2 -5 Years of relevant experience
- MBA (preferably, not mandatory)
- Freshers with sports interest & commercial understanding will be considered.
Salary: As per industry standards.
AVP-Business Development
Job Description (Skills Required):
- Identify sales leads towards Sponsorship, Co-Sponsorship, Team Ownership & Barter Opportunities.
- Pitch the value proposition of Sportobuddy / SSC/SCC & PSL to the above customers
- Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing key customers
- Manage the teams playing with SCC/SSC as key accounts.
- Conclude the sales leads, new teams, new barters etc into sales and achieve the targets.
- Read and understand the Sales Business plan and make the customer acquisition plan accordingly.
- Generate latest sales leads by researching online, by using your own network or by using the combined network of the senior people within the organisation after understanding the Value Proposition
- Create a list of potential customers to connect with who would be a sponsor any of the above properties. (SB, SSC, SCC & PSL).
- Researching the needs, behavioural patterns, spending patterns, marketing style, marketing spends etc. of the identified potential customers/companies and find out who makes decisions about purchasing and connect with them to present our value proposition and convince them to sponsor or come onboard as barter partner.
- Post identifying the potential customers and first meeting with them establish rapport with them and manage them as key customers even beyond closure of the sales.
- Planning and overseeing new event initiatives and be a part of the ideation process on weekly basis.
- Plan the National geographical expansion of the existing initiatives in Ahmedabad, Pune, Thane, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Nagpur, Jaipur and Indore.
- Plan the International geographical expansion of the existing initiative in New Jersey, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, London, Dubai, Qatar, Sydney and Colombo
- Create the proper strategic execution plan of the above two with your manager and put a calendar schedule for the same.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events and have the calendar made for the same in advance.
- Manage individual team captains as key accounts and create a team of relationship managers to manage all the teams including the players. This team should scout for more teams in the future tournaments.
- Hire above relationship managers in all locations and implement the same process of player management in that city.
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations on the value propositions of each event.
- Contact the customers and players and inform them about new developments in the company’s value proposition or announcement of new event or venue.
- Developing quotes and commercial proposals for the customers, sponsors, barter sponsors etc.
- Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person whenever needed.
- Developing sales goals for the team as per your own and ensuring they are met every month.
- Training personnel and helping team members develop the team skills.
