1-
Played on the basis of a double wicket format, with a tennis ball.
2-
Each session will be played in sets of 4 participating pairs, ie 8
participating players-(4 betas & 4 baaps).
3-
Each pair bats and bowls (over arm) 2 overs each, to every pair in their
respective group.
4-
Before each match, a coin toss decides who bats/ bowls first.
5-
1 over beta to beta & 1 over baap to
baap (marked with a 2"masking tape).
6-
Each pair bats all 36 (legal) deliveries.
7-
If the batting pair loses a wicket, MINUS 5 runs and they continue batting.
8-
Each session will start with 10 catches for each pair. 5 high catches & 5
straight catches.
9-
The total score on 10 catches will be the starting score for that pair.
10-
Baap & Beta mutually decide on who takes 5 high catches & 5 straight
catches.
11-So
while the baap is bowling, the Beta keeps wickets & vice-versa.
12-The
keeper, not collecting the ball cleanly, results in 2 "bye" runs-
once the ball touches the fence/net.
13-
The balls bowled will have to be "playable deliveries".
14-
The wide/s will have to be re-bowled (with an extra run).
a.If 3 Consecutive Extras (WIDE-BALL/ NO-BALL/ DEAD-BALL) are bowled, the official on-field umpire will call the bowler to complete his over with "THROW-DOWNS"
15-
Extra runs declared for "ARROW-HIT"(5 runs),"TARGET-HIT" (7
runs), "BULLSEYE-HIT"(10 runs).
16-
Two age groups (beta wise, irrespective of the Baap's age) under 12 and under
18.
17-The bowling pair decides the field
placement of the 4 fielders, one each in the 4 quarters (as per pitch map
diagram).
18-The non-Striker (Baap or Beta) will stand
at the marked 16-yard crease.
19-Run-out can be done at both the ends.
20-No overthrows will be allowed.
21-Umpire’s decision will be final.
