General Rules
The Championship shall be played in accordance to ICC Rules of Cricket except where amended. All teams must
strictly adhere to the following rules and regulations. Interpretation of these Rules and conditions, their construction
and effects rests entirely with Winter Premier League Sports Committee [hereinafter referred to as Sports Committee].
All decisions taken by this Sports Committee will be final and binding on all the participants/teams
Each team may consist of a maximum of 16 players including substitutes & shall nominate 11 players before the toss.
All the players in the playing team must be of 29+ [as on 01.11.2018]
All players need to carry any 1 the following:
i. Valid Photo ID - Driving License; Pan Card; Passport; Aadhar Card; Etc
Current First Class Players are not allowed [i.e Rajni Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Etc] in India or its equivalent tournament
overseas. 1st Class players are allowed only if the minimum gap is 5 years from their last official 1st class game played.
Current professional players are not allowed [Top 3 division - A, B & C of Kanga League & Times Shield] in Mumbai.
Professional players are allowed only if the minimum gap is 5 years from their last official game played. A player is
allowed to play even if he is still registered as a player with any top 3 division club or 1st class team and has not played
any match for them in the last 5 years.
No player can play for more than 1 team. If he does so, his teams will be disqualified from the rest of the
Championship
Tournament will be played as per the schedule given to the teams by the sports committee.
st Wearing Championship Jersey in all matches is compulsory. [Jersey will be provided to teams on their teams 1
League game. The same need to be carried by participants on all match days]
Black Track Paints is Compulsory. [Participants will have to carry their own all match days]
All players also need to either wear Regular Sports Shoes or rubber studs, Spike shoes may not be allowed.
The toss will be done by the Sports Committee in the presence of both the team captains. Captains should make the
decision of batting or bowling, after the toss on the pitch itself, he is not allowed to go back, decide and then give his
decision.
The balls to be used will be the ones provided by the Sports Committee only.
Team must report to the registration desk at least 40 minutes before the start of the match.
Umpires decision will be the final decision & no player will argue with the umpire on his decision.
If any natural calamities occur, each team will get 1 point.
If a team has an objection on any opponent player, the team captain should object on the match day itself [before the
match or during the match], only then will the sports committee take an action on the opponent team. But if the
team informs us after the match is over no action will be taken on the earlier match.
Although adequate safety precautions have been taken and First Aid facilities will be available to treat any injuries
sustained while playing, sports committee will not be held responsible and liable for the same and the players will be
playing at their own risk.
Interpretation of these Rules & Conditions, their construction and effect rests entirely with the Sports Committee. All
decisions taken by the Sports committee will be final and binding on all the participants.

Game Rules
In the League stage, each team will play the other teams in the Group once [6 teams in a group].
i. The top 2 ranked teams will play the Championship Play Off
ii. The 3rd & 4th ranked teams will play the Challenger Play Off
iii. 5th & 6th ranked teams will be eliminated.
Each innings will be limited to Twenty [20] overs. Under-arm bowling is prohibited
In a normal T20 game, the interval lasts for 15 minutes. However, in a reduced-overs match, it can be cut to 10
minutes.
In each Twenty20 cricket match, one short-pitched ball is allowed per over
If, and only if, each of the two teams has faced (or had the opportunity to face) five overs, will be a match deemed to
have played.
At the most, five fielders can be on the leg side, at any given point of time.
Super Sub
The Super Sub must be named before the game began (even before the coin tossed), and he could replace any player
from the playing XI at any point in the game. The concept of a Super Sub is different from that of the 12th man. Unlike
the 12th man, Super Sub can bat OR bowl.
Power play –
7 players in the ring for the first 6 over & 4 for the remaining over [Compulsory]. [Excluding the keeper & the bowling]
Time Restriction
Each team has a maximum of 85 minutes to bowl their overs. If they are unable to bowl their overs in the allotted
time, the game will be stopped & the opponent will get 18 runs per remaining overs. This rule is for all the playing
teams.
20 over must be bowled by minimum of 5 different players. I.e. - 4 overs/bowler
Wide Ball
Wide ball rule to be applied as per limited overs match.
Free hit - If a bowler bowls a No Ball, next delivery will be a free hit. A batsman, can only be dismissed through a run
out.
Challenge Over
Each Team Captain will select best 5 bowlers from their team prior before the match. The batting team captain will
select 1 bowler for the challenge from the selected 5 blowers. This will be 1 over challenge; in this one over the
batsman need to decide the Runs he will score minimum. ie - if the batting team batsman decide 10 runs & they
achieve it, they will get 20 runs, but if they fail to score 10 runs the over will be counted as a maiden over. This
challenge must be taken in first 10 over's.
Strategic Break
The first strategic break will be between over number 6 & 9 [batting team will decide] and second strategic break will
be between over number 14 & 16. [bowling team will decide]. This will be 2 min break. There will be no drinks break
other than these two.

Bowl Out
In case of a tie in a match, teams shall compete in a bowl out to decide the winner, if however, tie occurs again, then it
will be decided by sudden death.
League Table & Points
A win gets 3 points, a loss gets no points.
Should teams have equal points at the end of the League Games; the superior position will be judged according to
the following criteria
i. The team that won the Pool Game between the two sides shall prevail.
ii. If still equal, then the team with the best run rate will be placed higher in the league table.
iii. Should there still be a tie after applying the above rule, then the team with the best Net Run Rate will be
placed higher in the table.
